chatting with strangers & busy friends

Some days are a bit up side down.

You normally expect your friends to be the people who shape your       day in a positive way. Today 8 friends or there abouts were busy in opposite directions but none orrientated around my invitation to go to an evening at the Tate… not going to take it personally… well not too much to heart… but clearly crappy!

What, however made my day, was a spontaneous conversation with an Irish guy who works for Citibank – one escalator ride and one stop on the tube. I like the fact that he broke all the rules of London Public Transport, and I like the fact that he was interested in what I did, curious and chatty.

I will probably never see him again but he really put a bounce in my step, which was lovely.

Worst snow storm EVER

Yep that pretty somes up the front page, front line of ever newspaper in the UK today but wait there is also – the follow up story predicting the doom scenario – more snow later in the week.

All I can think is – fan-bloody-tastic!

The snow, and todays slushy-icy, made the normal grumpy Londoners slow down, smile, marvel at the delightful white and occasionally speak to the person next to them.

How can this be bad?

In my view – bring on the snow – it made a grumpy city a smiley one!

snowy london

Today has been just beautiful in the normally noisy, fast paced and busy city.

The snow blanketed everything in inches, and centremetres of white feathery snow. It was just amazing.

Tomorrow slush!

its snowing

Brrrr

I love snow in the city

And I amazed at the snowy weight on the leaves outside

But someone needs to explain how and more importantly why women wear short skirts with NOOOOOOOOO tights when its -2!
